LONDON, UK, 7 October 2026

NeuroCheck Pro, the UK health technology company building a digital platform for ADHD and autism assessment, today announced the publication of a Spotlight article in the Journal of Pakistan Psychiatric Society (JPPS), Volume 23, Issue 3.

The article, “NeuroCheck Pro and the Future of Digital Neurodevelopmental Assessment: Lessons from UK Practice and Directions for Collaboration with Low- and Middle-Income Countries”, is authored by Tanha Tabassum and Arshad Ahmed of NeuroCheck Pro Ltd, and Dinesh Kanna of Apis Clinic and NeuroCheck Pro Ltd. It carries DOI 10.63050/jpps.23.03.1287 and is freely available on the journal’s website.

“Publishing in the Journal of Pakistan Psychiatric Society matters because it asks the right question: not whether structured assessment can travel, but how to build it with local clinicians who keep diagnostic authority. That is the collaboration we are inviting.” - Tanha Tabassum, Founder and CEO, NeuroCheck Pro

The article describes how NeuroCheck Pro delivers end-to-end assessment for autism and ADHD across the lifespan in line with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance: validated multi-informant instruments, a computerised cognitive battery, automated threshold-based scoring, and a clinician-led video consultation culminating in a governed, clinician-authored report. Drawing on United Kingdom practice, it argues that the transferable asset for collaborators is not the software alone but the structured, auditable pathway the platform encodes, one that raises the consistency of specialist evaluation while reserving scarce clinical time for formulation.

The article finds that remote structured assessment is already feasible and acceptable in Pakistan, and that computerised testing reduces dependence on scarce psychometric resources, while equity of access, connectivity, data governance, and local validation of instruments and norms remain the binding constraints. It sets out three directions for collaboration: joint psychometric validation in Urdu and regional languages, pilot deployments in Pakistani institutions with local clinicians retaining diagnostic authority, and workforce development through supervised structured assessment. Its invitation is to co-develop and scrutinise such platforms, not simply to adopt them.
